Tyler Johnes, played by Gregory De Martini, is a narcissistic movie star who has been nominated for an Oscar and unexpectedly dies the night before the ceremony only to awaken in a celestial, Irish-bar-themed waiting room.
Tyler meets heavenly gatekeeper Seamus, played by Russell Snow.
Tyler is soon joined by his agent, Teddy LaPetite, played by Edgar De La Cruz and then by his Best Supporting Star rival and former series co-star, Kyle Morgan, played by Geoff Higgins.
While Tyler pleads with Seamus to allow him to return to life for one last night, Tyler flashbacks to life with his decent, caring and, soon-to-be-ex-wife, Sheri, played by Amanda Roinson.
Tyler also flashes back to his wildly popular action flick days starring in Chippencops
Granted a reprieve, for one night only, Tyler attends the ceremony with his girl-of-the-moment, Serenity, played by Brianna Ontiveros, with his agent, nemesis, and Seamus also in attendence.

Tyler sees Serenity's true colors as he discovers her backstage in an embrace with co-star nemesis Kyle.
Through the chaotic events of the night, which involve his agent, rival, ex-wife, and girl-of-the-moment, Tyler discovers that the petty awards and fame he obsessed over do not matter. Tyler learns that the love of his friends, family, and his ex-wife is far more valuable than the accolades he was pursuing. He learns to let go of his selfish need for recognition, allowing him to truly rest in peace.
